MIND MAP OF LOVE (2011-2013)

Mind Map of Love is a project by the German businessman Christian

Zott and photographer Mauro Fiorese from Verona. During his hike through

Southern Europe, from its most westerly point in Portugal to the Eastern

border on the Bosporus, Christian Zott developed the concept of a mind

map providing the structure to outline the many different forms of love.

His travel photos – primarily spontaneous snapshots capturing a specific

moment in time – provide a striking contrast to the complex photographic

compositions by Mauro Fiorese. The visual concept of the project draws its

narrative continuation from the novel by Christian Zott.

Mappa mentale dell’amore è un progetto dell’imprenditore bavarese Christian Zott

e del fotografo veronese Mauro Fiorese. Durante il suo cammino lungo le coste europee,

dal punto più occidentale in Portogallo a quello più orientale sul Bosforo, Christian

Zott ha concepito una sorta di mappa mentale volta ad esplorare le molteplici

manifestazioni dell’amore. Le sue fotografie di viaggio, per lo più istantanee spontanee

e casuali, creano un suggestivo ventaglio di contrasti con gli scatti professionali di

Mauro Fiorese. Dal punto di vista narrativo, il percorso per immagini del progetto trova

la sua prosecuzione naturale nell’omonimo romanzo di Christian Zott.
